Tulle Delights

September 21, 2012

Do you like tulle? No, not the city Tulle in France, the net fabric called tulle…

I like it… the stiff nylon tulle is often used for short tutus, it reminds me of circus, theater, cabaret and ballett.

But tull can also be elegant, floating , falling heavy.

A new combination with tulle was made from Namekawa san, who is attending her first classes now. She sewd the tull on top of a linnen skirt! The pattern is super easy: linnen and tulle are just cut into squares and the top is fringed and held by an elastic tape.
